On January 14, the public is invited to a special open house in Point Washington featuring South Walton’s 2016 Artist of the Year, Melody Bogle.
Bogle is an oil and pastel enthusiast, specializing in ‘plein air’ painting, meaning she works out in the open air.
Bogle will attend the event and her paintings will be on display and available for purchase at the house located at 21 Days Lane in the historical Point Washington neighborhood in Santa Rosa Beach from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
The event will be held at this Point Washington home.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Alaqua Animal Refuge, a no-kill animal shelter located on a sprawling 10-acre farm in nearby Freeport.
“Supporting local charities is a passion of mine,” said Randy Carroll, a Better Homes and Gardens ‘Distinctive Homes’ Realtor and the agent for the open house. “Any time I can hold an open house or another event to be able to support our local community, it is an honor for me.”
Carroll and his wife Beth are the founders of Easy on 30A, an independent nonprofit organization located in WaterColor. Easy on 30A works with the local community, organizations and artists to raise funds for Walton and Okaloosa county charitable organizations. The group is behind the Easy on 30A music festival, held the past four years at WaterColor’s Marina Park on July 3.
Last October, Carroll held a similar open house in WaterColor exhibiting South Walton’s 2005 Artist of the Year, Justin Gaffrey, which benefitted the Food for Thought organization.
Please contact Randy Carroll for further information about the open house at [email protected] or 850-624-0037.
