Rhett Miller — the front man and main songwriter of the rock ‘n’ roll quartet the Old 97’s and a very accomplished solo artist — will be the featured entertainment for the Seaside School 5K and Half-Marathon Pre-Race Party on March 1, 2013 at 7:00 PM. Rhett Miller will take the stage around 8:00 PM.
An Evening for Education Under the Stars at Caliza Pool in Alys Beach is just part of the many events for the Seaside School 5K and Half Marathon weekend, which runs March 1st to March 3rd. Presented by Vera Bradley, the Seaside Race attracts runners from around the country and is one of the signature fundraising events for the Seaside Neighborhood School, an award-winning public charter school in South Walton County Florida.
The Seaside Half Marathon and 5K needs volunteers in a variety of capacities on race day, March 3, including water stations, intersection control, entertainment and at the finish line.
