Old friends return, and new friends are welcome as SEASIDE® celebrates the 31st anniversary of Seeing Red Wine Festival. Slated for November 9th-12th, 2023, the weekend’s signature itinerary features tastings, curated dinner, winemakers, chefs, and live music. Sunday’s festivities will introduce a new spin on this year’s send-off event by showcasing a lively tiki-themed brunch. For the first time, this year’s festival will welcome a sommelier to guide guests through the weekend’s events with the picture-perfect New Urbanist town as its backdrop.
The Seeing Red Wine Festival® has been recognized as one of the “Top 10 Can’t-Miss Fall Wine Festivals” by Fodor’s Travel, and since its inception in 1991, Seeing Red established a reputation for bringing premier wine and culinary offerings to the area, hosting world-class vintners and acclaimed chefs, all in the simple, elegant style that is Seaside’s signature.

“We are thrilled to present this year’s Seeing Red Wine Festival in Seaside and to share such an incredible experience with those who have been longtime attendees and first-timers,” said Micah Davis, President of Seaside Community Development Corporation. “This year’s event is poised to be our best yet with the addition of a festival sommelier and a fresh take on the weekend’s events.”
As the name suggests, Seeing Red Wine Festival highlights a thoughtfully curated selection of red wines from around the world and an extensive array of white wines, rosés, and blends paired with bites from Seaside’s Merchants and local restaurants.
The 2023 itinerary for the four-day festival includes a Vintner’s Dinner on Thursday at Bud & Alley’s Restaurant, Al Fresco Reserve Wine Tasting on Friday at the Lyceum Lawn, The Grand Tasting on Saturday in Central Square, and the Sunday Tiki Social at The Daytrader Tiki Bar & Restaurant.
“The caliber of Seeing Red combined with the ambiance and history of Seaside is simply unparalleled,” said Director of Arts & Entertainment, Tate Forbes. “This event not only showcases a remarkable selection of wines and cuisines but also offers an immersive experience with live music presented by Sinfonia Gulf Coast and Roman Street throughout the weekend. This year’s festival will leave a lasting impression on our residents and visitors alike.”
