A mecca of design, South Walton is already quite famous for its extraordinary architecture, interior designs and for the birth of New Urbanism including towns such as Seaside, Rosemary Beach, WaterColor and Alys Beach.
Now, the inaugural South Walton Fashion Week plans to showcase South Walton’s unique eye for fashion and style.
Held on October 11-13, 2013 in Grand Boulevard’s Town Center at Sandestin, South Walton Fashion Week is a three day series of dynamic fashion events showcasing premier clothing boutiques and talented local designers, including a regional fashion design competition featuring selected emerging designers on the runway in an exclusive show dedicated to their designs.
While South Walton usually conjures images of sunglasses, swimsuits and straw hats — all the while attracting such fashionistas like Katie Holmes, India Hicks, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Simpson — this scenic area now strives for a place on the fashion map with this inaugural fashion week full of dynamic events.

Designers may apply for the “Emerging Designers Show” beginning on June 15, 2013 through August 31, 2013. Applications must be submitted at swfw.org.
Proceeds from the event will go to The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County to help fund their Educational Giving Program, which provides much-needed dollars to Walton County teachers for art supplies, books and other supplements in their classroom, along with need-based student art scholarships and college scholarships.
