Now-a-days there are hundreds of styles of sunglasses to choose from. It can be overwhelming — to say the least. So we asked the experts to weigh in on how to pick the perfect pair based on your sense of style. Sue Sammuels from, The Lens Bar in Seacrest, gave us the run down.
What style of sunglasses work best for the everyday sporty girl or guy?
“In terms of a sport sunglass for men and women, I believe the lenses are just as important as the style of the sunglass. In addition to the typical protection against UV Rays that most sunglasses provide, a good quality polarized lens is essential to block the sun’s glare. Kaenon Polarized provides both lightweight and clear polarized lenses and matches them up with sport-style frames in colors, sizes, and shapes that work well for most everyone.”
What shades would you recommend for a more sophisticated, edgier look?
“For a more sophisticated, edgier look for a guy, I love our new Scout and Explorer sunglasses, from Salt. They have side shields that not only protect one from the sun, but have a new fresh feel. They are all made out of titanium metal, a strong but lightweight material, and happened to have polarized lenses. For a girl, I might suggest a pair of handmade sunglasses from Vinylize. The sunglasses are made out of vinyl records. One can see the grooves from the LP’s on the front of the frame.”
For someone going for a laid back, beach chic look, what would you suggest?
“There are so many to choose from, but perhaps, a fun colorful piece from Celine for Summer 2015 would be one of my favorites.”
