What began as a job assignment six years ago has turned into a new business venture for 30A resident Jamie Conley, with the launch of JConley Images.
In 2005, Conley (who oversees marketing and advertising for Davis Properties of NWFL, Inc.) had a hard time finding genuine photographs that depicted South Walton beaches for her team’s advertising needs. So, she set out on her own to accumulate a collection of stock photos for use in her daily work.
Last fall, Davis Properties relocated their office to a new building in Seagrove. The company’s owner, Larry Davis and his wife Melissa, asked Conley if she would display some of her black and white photography in the new space.
“With a lot of support, prodding and encouragement from family and friends, I’ve taken a step out in faith to start my own business,” said Conley. “My parents instilled in me the attitude that if you see something that needs doing, then learn how to do it and do your very best. That’s what I’ve tried to accomplish with my photography.“
JConley Images sells fine art quality, gallery wrapped giclée canvas images. The photographs, available in both black & white and color include local landscapes of beaches, rare coastal dune lakes, funky beach towns and other beautiful settings found along Scenic Highway 30A and throughout southern Walton County.
Conley hopes to host some gallery shows in the future, but in the meantime, a collection of her black and white images is on display at the Davis Properties office located at 4130 E County Scenic Hwy 30A in Seagrove. Gallery wrap canvas images are also available for purchase online at www.JConleyImages.com. Jamie’s work will also be on display at the Coastal Branch library in April.
