St. Joe Hospitality recently announced the completion of a major renovation at WaterColor Inn & Resort, just in time to mark the iconic inn’s 20th anniversary.
Renovations include 7 new family suites, a new 2,800 square foot zero-entry family pool with a kids’ area, plus a new restaurant called Gather Kitchen + Bar that offers indoor and outdoor service to take advantage of the expanded pool deck area.
“WaterColor Inn has become a favorite destination for families because of the amenities and service we offer,” says General Manager Gabrielle Testa. “With these renovations, we want to not only continue to give guests the elevated experience they expect but also to add multi-room suites that will be better suited for families.”
Renovations began in August of 2021 and were undertaken with the goal of better serving the needs of extended and multigenerational family travel. The new suites offer multiple bathrooms within one- or two-bedroom family suite formats, and each of the new suites feature a unique layout and set of offerings for a customizable fit for those seeking an ideal beach vacation.
The inn’s new dining concept, Gather Kitchen + Bar, will be exclusive to guests of WaterColor Inn and Lifestyle Members of the private membership club, Watersound Club. Serving up an elevated bar menu of locally sourced coastal cuisine with international flair, this dining area takes advantage of both the indoor and outdoor dining space to create an experience that is at once both elevated and comfortable. With a collection of local beers and thoughtful cocktails (including Sorbet Cocktails that are made-to-order tableside) Gather Kitchen + Bar is the perfect place to relax and idle away the hours in a pleasant beachside environment.
Nestled within a 500-acre community boasting 1,400 feet of sugar-white sand beachfront and bordered by picturesque pine forests alongside Western Lake, the WaterColor Inn is the flagship of South Walton’s WaterColor community. The inn offers 60 Gulf-facing rooms, plus the 7 newly added one and two-bedroom family suites.
