Kyle Petit, a competitive water skier and one of the owners of the popular restaurant Louis Louis, has just published her first book, 30 Shades of Grayton: A Single Girl’s Guide to Navigating Small-Town Dating. 

The book is an entertaining and light-hearted — not to mention laugh out loud funny — guide to being single in the small beach community along Scenic Highway 30A and small towns everywhere.

Petit comes at the topic after a difficult divorce, suddenly finding herself in her mid-30s and trying to navigate the single life in a tourist town.

She sat down with 30A Radio recently to chat about some of her experiences, which include plenty of falling down and getting back up again — literally.

She also shares some of her favorite dating tips she has learned along the way.
