Register Now for the 30A Cornhole Tournament at Rosemary Beach on Sept 2

Rosemary Beach Foundation will host another fun day of friendly competition on Labor Day Weekend, so loosen up your arms, sharpen your aim and come out for the third annual 30A Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, September 2, 2017.

The event will feature giveaways, a bounce house with slide, a DJ, photo booth and many surprises.

The two-member team, single-elimination CornHole Tournament will be held on the East Long Green Road, North Barrett Square at Rosemary Beach. There are fantastic prizes for the winning teams, and all players will enjoy beer from Shades Bar & Grill and pizza from Bruno’s 30A.

Court assignment will take place from 9 – 9:30 a.m. and the tournament will begin at 10 a.m. Registration for a team of two is $60 and includes complimentary drinks and pizza. Proceeds from the event benefit Rosemary Beach Foundation and Special Olympics Florida – Walton County.

Volunteers are needed to assist during the event. Below are the details of the times and duties:

Saturday, September 2

Scorekeepers – Judges: 21 Years of Age
9:30 a.m. – 12 noon: 16 Needed
11:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.: 8 Needed

Regular Tournament and Special Olympics. Must be able to stand in the sun for 2 1/2 hours. Duties include understanding rules of the Cornhole Game (will be trained), documenting the score, verifying the score with players upon completion of the game, bringing score card to bracket board manager, and directing teams to the assigned courts). A few volunteers are also needed for the Kid’s Zone Area as well as helping set-up tents, tables, and boards on East Long Green and other duties.

Rosemary Beach Foundation offers and supports community events, cultural programs, educational projects and charitable activities. Special Olympics provides services for more than 100 athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services provided in Walton County include: year-round sports training and competitions, life skills and healthy living initiatives. The programs are free to athletes and their families. Worldwide, Special Olympics is the number one provider of free health screenings for people with disabilities.
