SWFW Exclusive: How One Local Became An Accidental Swimsuit Designer

Local Cayce Collins didn’t grow up thinking she would become a fashion designer, but on Thursday she’ll once again be walking a one-of-a-kind line of swimsuits and swimwear down the runway at South Walton Fashion Week.

Collins became interested in designing her own line at last year’s South Walton Fashion Week when she competed as an emerging designer in the event’s “Project Runway”-type competition. She talks with 30A Radio about how growing up on the coast influenced her designs, the difference between style and fashion, and how she went from sewing clothes for her daughter to designing a full line of swimwear.

LISTEN NOW:

Collins will show her line on Thursday during South Walton Fashion Week. Check out the full schedule online or on the South Walton Fashion week app for iPhone or Android.
