Governor Ron DeSantis recently signed Senate Bill 676 to help create a new 30A® specialty license plate for all Florida motorists. Pre-sales for the new 30A license plate will begin state-wide in October.
All proceeds from sales of the new 30A specialty license plates will be donated to Scenic Walton, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works to preserve, protect, and enhance the beauty and safety of Walton County, Florida.
“Every person who buys an official State of Florida 30A license plate for their vehicles will help keep Walton County beautiful,” said Mike Ragsdale, Founder of The 30A Company. “This is a really extraordinary opportunity for our community.”
Scenic Walton’s mission is to promote beautification and safety projects throughout all of Walton County, Florida, including improving landscaping in roadway medians, reducing litter, championing underground utilities, expanding infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists, advocating for excellent design standards for development, and other projects that enhance property values and the quality of life for Walton County residents and visitors.
“It took a lot of hard work to get the bill passed by the House and Senate, and we truly appreciate Governor DeSantis signing the bill into law,” said Leigh Moore, Executive Director of Scenic Walton. “We especially want to thank our District State Legislators, Representative Brad Drake and Senator George Gainer, for sponsoring the bill. Now it’s up to our community to take full advantage of this amazing opportunity.”
In October, Florida residents will be able to go to tax collector offices and license plate agencies statewide to purchase a pre-sale voucher for the 30A specialty license plate. 3,000 vouchers must be sold before the State of Florida will manufacture the new 30A plate.
