Gregg Shapiro will join John Renlie and Bill Garrett for a live performance as GRS at the 111 Business Block Party on November 12. Local businesses are coming together for an afternoon of food, music, and community at the 111 Business Block Party on Thursday, November 12, from 3 to 7 p.m. in Santa Rosa Beach.
Held at 111 N. County Highway 393, near the intersection of Highway 98 and County Highway 393, the event will celebrate five years in the Santa Rosa Beach community and bring together a range of businesses from the surrounding area.
Guests can stop by throughout the afternoon for free food and drinks, live music, special offers from participating businesses, and prize giveaways with hourly drawings. It’s also an opportunity to meet some of the people behind local businesses serving South Walton.
Live music will be provided by local musicians Gregg Shapiro, John Renlie, and Bill Garrett, performing together as GRS. Shapiro has connections to Casey Kearney, Dion Jones, and Low Tide Junction, while Renlie has worked with MECO and The Neon Tears. Garrett brings a background in blues, New Orleans grooves, and swamp music.
The group reflects a wide mix of businesses and services, from dining and home design to family activities, professional services, and more.
Participating and featured businesses include California Closets, Pazzo Italiano, Aesthetic Artistry Medical Spa, The Play Studio, James Sater State Farm, Gasworks, The Window Treatment Specialists, Emerald Coast Title Services, Hand Arendall Harrison Sale, Chateau Le Coeur, and Beach Weekend Coffee.
Pazzo Italiano’s Santa Rosa Beach restaurant, for example, serves Italian favorites and wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, while California Closets offers custom storage and organization solutions. The Window Treatment Specialists provides custom window coverings and design services throughout the 30A area, and Emerald Coast Title Services has served the Emerald Coast’s real estate community for decades.
“We’re bringing together some fantastic local businesses to celebrate our community, thank our loyal customers, welcome new faces, and show our appreciation for the neighbors who support us!” said Joe Lindenmayer, owner of California Closets Gulf Coast.
The block party is designed as an informal way for neighbors to connect, support local businesses, and spend a Thursday afternoon together in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach.
