Escape to Create continues this weekend with experimental dance, a humorous one-man play and a folk and blues concert by critically acclaimed artists from across the country.

Escape to Create is a two-month residency that offers a variety of artists from across the country a chance to tap into their creativity within the beautiful backdrop of the beaches of South Walton. While the artists are visiting the area, they put on a series of unique public screenings, shows and performances to share some of their previous work.

On January 22 and January 24 the public performances continue at The Rep theater in Seaside.

.On Thursday, multidisciplinary choreographer Morgan Teel, from Austin, Texas, will screen her internationally recognized dance video, Epicenter, and premier her newest experimental dance video, Architextures, created in response to the unique architectural legacy of Seaside. The work of this young emerging artist is celebrated through the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

Then Peter Cutts, the actor, director and playwright from London’s Great White Wave, will perform ‘The 7 Stages of Man’, a play that interweaves drama, poetry, music and plenty of humorous characters.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and available for purchase here.

The show begins and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and available for purchase here.
