Rinse off the old, welcome the new! Join the South Walton Fire District on New Year’s Day for a Polar Bear Plunge. Funds collected at the event will benefit community education and fire prevention activities such as free CPR courses and fire prevention materials.

In-person sign-up starts at 11 a.m. at Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar on January 1, 2024.

There will be a costume contest at 12 p.m. It’s open to all plunge participants!
We will officially plunge into the New Year at 1 p.m. This event is family-friendly.

Cost of attendance for all plunge participants will be $20 per person. Children 12 years old and under are FREE! Every participant who pays a $20 entry fee receives a FREE event towel. Proceeds from registration go toward SWFD’s community education initiatives.
