Alaqua Animal Refuge announced that Chase Johnson is their Animal Hero of the Month.

Sincere congrats to our friend Chase for this well-deserved recognition. She spends so many hours every week working with the most terrified darlings that come through Alaqua’s doors. She teaches them to trust people again, which is no easy task in most cases. She also cleans the dog buildings, changes bedding, washes bowls and toys, and so much more. She gives the dogs baths and takes them on fun trips to the dog park. Chase always goes the extra mile to make Alaqua’s most special needs animals comfortable and happy.

The love that Chase has for animals is truly incredible, and Alaqua is grateful and honored that she chooses the refuge as her home away from home.
