Calling all runners! The 2015 Alys Beach 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, and it’s filling up fast.

With a limited number of registrations available, early sign-up is encouraged.

The certified 5K will start in the Alys Beach Amphitheatre and wind through the Gulf-side community and nature trail. Following the 5K, a family-friendly 1 Mile Fun Run will kick off for children ages 12 and younger.

After the races, runners can gather in the Amphitheatre for awards, live music, a bounce house, fun in the splash pad, race results, an awards presentation and more.

Proceeds will benefit Alaqua Animal Refuge, a non-profit organization that has helped find homes for more than 11,000 animals since its inception in 2007.
