Alys Beach Crafted Festival Returns: Celebrating Art, Craft, and Community – Nov 13-17

The third annual Alys Beach Crafted festival will be held this November 13-17, 2024 in celebration of the talents that come together to enrich the experience of life along the Scenic Highway 30A stretch of Florida’s Emerald Coast and beyond. Crafted will be a weekend of events here in Alys Beach, a gathering of renowned craftspeople from around the country sharing the process, the inspiration, and the product of their craft at the Firkin Fête, Spirited Soirée, Experiential Mixology Dinners & Seminars, the Holiday Makers Market, and Pickleball & Picklebacks.

Tickets for the Crafted events can be purchased online here.

All proceeds from Alys Beach Crafted will benefit the non-profit organization, the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, significantly impacting the local arts community through leadership, advocacy, funding, programs, and education.

Below is the full schedule of events:

Wednesday, November 13, 5 pm | Firepit Park on the North Sea Garden Walk pedestrian path

Cozy up around the Pedestrian Path Firepit for an evening celebrating the craft of written and spoken word. In partnership with the Emerald Coast Story Tellers, gather around the fire to hear from local writers as well as our participating Alys Beach Crafted talent as they share stories centered around the theme for the evening, Roots & Wings.

Thursday, November 14, 5 pm | Experiential dinners at various Alys Beach locations

Savor the Coast

A Coastal Tasting and Dinner Experience at Papilio Park, with Lou Bank, Miles Macquarrie, John Harley of Serenoa Shellfish and Alys Beach’s Chef Drew Dzejak.

Sacred Agave’s Lou Bank, Serenoa Shellfish’s John Harley, and Shiny Dimes Oyster Farm’s Miles Macquarrie are teaming up to host our Alys Beach Crafted Savor the Coast dinner, where flavors harmonize between fresh Gulf and bay catches paired with a variety of agave spirits. We’ll begin this tasting exploration with a journey through different coastal regions of Mexico, exploring such agave spirits as tequila, mezcal, and raicilla, complemented by regional bay oysters and the savoring of both the tasting elements and the stories behind each varietal. Not only will you gain insights into the world of agave spirits, but this team will share their professional tips for properly shucking your oysters! Following the tasting, enjoy a three-course coastal dinner prepared by Alys Beach’s own Chef Drew Dzejak with agave spirit cocktails crafted by master mixologist, Miles Macquarrie of the Kimball House (Decatur, GA).

La Dolce Vita

The Essential & Bar La Fete in Birmingham’s proprietor Victor King and Kristen Hall team up with mixologists Qadeem Hassan (The Essential) and Jose Medina (Adios Bar) to provide a journey through the flavors of the Italian Mediterranean. Deriving inspiration from the sensory experiences found coasting the enchanting canals of Venice and strolling the charming streets of Rome, we’ll be transported as we explore the region through cocktails and wines paired with delectable Italian Mediterranean cuisine. Set with an elegant ambiance and accented with the refreshing sparkle of the Spritz, join us as we celebrate the abundance of La Dolce Vita!
