Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant was recently invited by Coastal Living magazine to help host the publication’s inaugural National Happy Hour Day event, Toast on the Coast.
Bud & Alley’s was selected as one of ten beachside bars across the nation to simultaneously celebrate the occasion.
Bud & Alley’s bartenders served their version of the brooding rum-based cocktail “Dark & Stormy” on the rooftop deck bar as the sun set.
Other participating cities included Boston, Seattle, Charleston, Manhattan Beach, California, Montauk, New York, Savannah, Georgia, Palm Beach and Birmingham.
The Rooftop Bar deck filled quickly and patrons got into the spirit by snapping and posting selfies with their rum and ginger beer-based Dark & Stormy cocktails.
Coastal Living streamed several images of Bud & Alley’s Dark & Stormy party on both Instagram and Facebook.
“Dark & Stormy is actually my favorite cocktail, so I am really excited to be here,” said guest Melinda Bluett.
Several Coastal Living magazine editors and staffers also happened to be in town to promote their Coastal Living Idea House in Seagrove Beach. As is tradition each evening as the sun sets, Bud & Alley’s staffers sounded the restaurant’s brass bell and signaled the end to another perfect day on 30A.
“I am so proud of my team,” said Bud & Alley’s founder/owner Dave Rauschkolb. “They bring award-winning talent every day. The fact that we will celebrate our 30th anniversary in January is in large part due to our incredible staff.”
