Gulf Grilling Gets Competitive!
The grills are firing up and the countdown has begun for one of the Gulf Coast’s most anticipated culinary events. The 11th Annual Eggs on the Beach Big Green Egg Cooking Competition returns Saturday, November 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Seascape Towne Centre in Miramar Beach.
Presented by Bay Breeze Patio, the event draws a lively mix of seasoned chefs, backyard enthusiasts, and nonprofit cook teams, all showcasing their skills on the celebrated Big Green Egg. With taster tickets now available, attendees can sample unlimited bites, cast votes for their favorites, and help crown the 2025 People’s Choice Award winners.
Advance taster tickets are $56 ($65 day-of); children 10 and under are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased online here, or in person by cash or check at Bay Breeze Patio, 32 Forest Shore Drive in Miramar Beach.
Over 20 teams will be on site, serving up everything from smoked meats and seafood to grilled vegetables and decadent desserts. The popular event not only highlights culinary creativity but also serves a greater cause: raising funds for local nonprofits, including Fisher House of the Emerald Coast and Food For Thought.

“We’re thrilled to welcome back returning favorites and some exciting new faces,” said Susan Kiley, co-owner of Bay Breeze Patio and founder of the event. “This year, we’ve made changes to ensure that every nonprofit team walks away with a cash prize. The more taster votes a team earns, the bigger the prize, but no one goes home empty-handed.”
A panel of honorary judges will join tasters in evaluating dishes based on flavor, presentation, and originality. This year’s judges include notable local talents and nationally recognized culinary personalities: Chef David Cunningham of Cinders & Salt, Chef Todd Meisner of Iron & Grape in DeFuniak Springs, and two acclaimed Green Team grillmasters, Nick Ray (known as Biscuits N Briskets) and Chef Tina Cannon, winner of Netflix’s BBQ Showdown. They will be joined by celebrity chef Shannon Kinsella, whose barbecue accolades include over $75,000 in winnings and more than 200 category wins.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Angel’s Envy returns with its popular bourbon lounge, offering complimentary tastings, custom bottle engraving, and games like cornhole with branded prizes. Select cook teams will also compete in a special Angel’s Envy recipe category, incorporating the bourbon into their featured dish.

Craft beer lovers can look forward to pours from Abita Brewery, back for its 11th year with new brews including Blueberry Wheat and Pecan Ale. The Kombi Keg 30A vintage VW van will once again serve as the charming beer station on wheels.
Live music by Black Eyed Blonde’s Becca and Dan Collins will keep the vibe upbeat, while the Tiki Bar screens college football games throughout the day. In addition to food and drink, guests can enter to win prizes including a Mini-Max Big Green Egg and gift certificates from local businesses.
Demo Big Green Eggs used in the competition will be available for pre-sale at 30% off retail price. Available in Large or XLarge sizes, these eggs come with a nest, plate setter, and a limited lifetime warranty. Pick-up is available between 2 and 3 p.m. on event day.
Eggs on the Beach is more than a culinary competition; it’s a celebration of community, craftsmanship, and coastal flavor.
