Bay Breeze Patio and Seascape Resort will host the inaugural “Eggs on the Beach” EggFest Grilling Competition on September 27th, from 9 am – 2 pm.

The EggFest is a gathering of people who are passionate about cooking and smoking foods on the Big Green Egg, an all-in-one smoker and grill. The day will be filled with tasty samples from each of the cook teams with attendees voting on their favorites. The winning team will take home a large Big Green Egg and the winning charity will receive a $500 donation. Grilling demonstrations, live music by Chris Alvarado, and kids’ activities make the event fun for the entire family.

Proceeds from Eggs on the Beach Egg Fest will benefit a local non-profit partner, Fisher House of the Emerald Coast. Located on Eglin Air Force Base, Fisher House provides a “home away from home” for military families to be together during treatment for serious illness or physical and/or occupational therapy.

Teams of four will cook on either a large or extra-large Big Green Egg at the event. Teams will purchase their own ingredients and Bay Breeze Patio will provide the demo egg, lump charcoal, fire starter, table, tent, paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins and toothpicks.

For those who have thought of owning a Big Green Egg, Demo Eggs will be sold in advance with nest (metal stand) and plate setter for a discounted price and must be picked up on Sept. 27 between 4 and 5 pm. The Demo Eggs, which will be used during Eggs on the Beach competition, come with a limited lifetime warranty.

Cook team registration is $50 for a team of four and each team member will receive a welcome bag, including a commemorative t-shirt, Wayne’s Get Grillin’ Rub and promotional items from Big Green Egg. The first five non-profits to register will enjoy waived registration fees and an opportunity to promote their cause and earn a $500 donation.
