Bay Breeze Patio seeks Master Grillers and EggHeads to pull out their favorite recipes and register for Eggs on the Beach, an official Big Green Egg Fest coming to Seascape Resort in Miramar Beach on September 27th.
The EggFest is a gathering of people who are passionate about cooking and smoking foods on a BIG GREEN EGG, the famous all-in-one smoker and grill.
“We have been wanting to host an EggFest to our area for a number of years,” said Bay Breeze Patio Co-owner and Grill Master Wayne Paul. “By partnering with Seascape Resort, we’re thrilled to have found the perfect location make this event a reality.
Each team of four is given a large or extra-large Big Green Egg to use for the day. Teams purchase their own ingredients and Bay Breeze Patio provides the demo egg, lump charcoal, fire starter, table, tent, paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins and toothpicks. Tasters then vote for their favorites and the winning team will receive a brand new large Big Green Egg. The runner up will win a stay at Seascape Resort.
Proceeds from Eggs on the Beach will benefit the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, which provides a “home away from home” for military families, allowing families to be together during treatment for serious illness or physical/occupational therapy.
For anyone who has wanted to own a Big Green Egg, the demo Eggs which will be used during the event will be sold in advance with a nest (metal stand) and a plate setter for a discounted price. There are 40 Demo Eggs for sale (25 Large and 15 X-Large) and all come with a limited lifetime warranty. The Demo Eggs must be picked up after the event on September 27th between 4pm and 5pm.
Eggs on the beach will include tastings, grilling demonstrations, live music by Chris Alvarado, a cash bar with beer, wine and sodas, and much more. Cook team registration is $50 for a team of four and each team member will receive a welcome bag, including a commemorative t-shirt, Wayne’s Get Grillin’ Rub and promotional items from Big Green Egg.
