Join Park Ranger staff for a guided nature hike on the first Thursday of every month at 10 AM. Explore Camp Helen’s scenic and accessible trail system while learning about the park’s diverse plant and animal life, as well as the unique ecosystem of the Florida Panhandle. This hike is suitable for all experience levels and requires moderate endurance.

The Oak Canopy and North Trails feature a mix of paved, sandy, and packed-earth terrain. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and bug repellent—along with your adventurous spirit!

Location: Camp Helen State Park, 23937 Panama City Beach Parkway, just west of the Phillips Inlet Bridge on the Bay County and Walton County line.
