Just ahead of Memorial Day, the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort has partnered with Horse Soldier Bourbon to present a one-of-a-kind event that combines courage, camaraderie and the velvety smoothness of Horse Soldier Bourbon. The Horse Soldier – Whiskey & War Stories Event takes place on Wednesday, May 22 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Sandestin’s Marina Bar & Grill.

 The event will include:

• Captivating heroic tales from the days following September 11, 2001, in Afghanistan – the origins of Horse Soldier Bourbon.

• Engaging visuals that immerse guests in the history and process behind Horse Soldier’s exceptional spirits with a state-of-the-art video system.

• A curated menu designed by the Marina Bar and Grill team to complement the rich flavors of the bourbon served in an ambiance perfect for engaging storytelling. Guests can indulge in family-style appetizers including Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, BBQ Pulled Pork Stuffed Jalapenos and Fire Roasted Veggie Kabob. For the entree, a Horse Soldier Bourbon Steak will be served with a side of balsamic marinated grilled asparagus and bourbon mashed sweet potatoes (vegetarian option available upon request), and guests should save room for The Horse Soldier Cake, topped and layered with toasted cashews and brown sugar chantilly. Plus, sip on the drink special for the evening, Blackberry Bourbon Smash, made with Horse Soldier Bourbon, lime zest, blackberry liquor, mint leaves, lemonade and honey, topped with ginger beer.

Guests can choose from two experiences:

• Classic Experience ($75 pp), which includes the presentation of Horse Soldier, a welcome drink and a signed bottle of Horse Soldier Bourbon.

• Premium Expereince ($100 pp), which includes a seated dinner experience and three-flight Horse Soldier tasting in addition to everything included in the Classic Experience.
