Unapologetically proud of his southern heritage, Mike Diamond’s music is reflective of who he is & the values he holds dear. Born into a family of musicians, there was a constant exposure to a diverse variety of music. His grandfather was a minister of music as well as a jazz musician. His father, a first-generation Flora-Bama performer, introduced him to honky-tonk and traditional country. Through his mother he found rock & roll. His appreciation for such a wide variety of music results in a performance that is genuine, no matter the genre. His sets are reminiscent of a history lesson of over nine decades of music, including his own original songs and a few unexpected but pleasant surprises sprinkled in.
