Fort Walton Beach – Make your cat famous while raising money to help other cats!
Save Our Cats and Kittens (SOCKS), a nonprofit, free-roaming, no-kill cat shelter, will launch
its “Show Us Your Kitties” 2026 calendar contest on Friday, Aug. 1.
Participants just upload a picture of their feline furbaby, then rally friends and family to vote.
It is $5 to enter, for which entrants will receive five votes. After that, one vote is a $1 donation.
The cat with the most votes will be featured on the 2026 calendar cover and receive SOCKS
swag. The 12 cats with the next highest number of votes will be a “cat of the month.”
For a $10 donation, cat parents also can reserve a date for their cat’s “gotcha day,” birthday,
memorial, or other special occasion. The cat’s photo will appear on the day of their choice.
Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.
Cats that do not place in the top 13, but have at least 50 votes, will be featured in a back cover
collage.

Cats can be pets, fosters, or community cats from around the world. They do NOT have to be
SOCKS alumni.
