Historian Wilfred “Chick” Huettel: War in the Gulf of Mexico: the German U-boat Invasion
Serving on a U-boat meant enduring foul air, dampness, and strong smells from bilges, food, and fuel. Chick Huettel, author of historical works, will lead a lecture organized by the South Walton Coastal Heritage Association, now hosted at the Coastal Branch Library. The talk includes recovered local artifacts.
