Dining Out with Picture Perfect Views? Say Hello to Fish Out of Water.

Following a major renovation, the award-winning restaurant previously known as Fish Out of Water has rebranded and reopened in Watercolor as Fish Out of Water. The new incarnation (pronounced foo) is casual and unpretentious, offering a one-of-a-kind dining experience with impeccable service, not to mention wall to wall views of the gulf inside and out.

A great new feature is that Fish Out of Water is open for lunch and also has a daily happy hour from 3-6 p.m.

Fish Out of Water is located at the award-winning WaterColor Inn, one of the St. Joe Club & Resorts signature properties. Fish Out of Water is everything you expect when it comes to dining on 30A, fresh, inventive Southern cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. From flip flops to a fancy frock, you’ll feel right at home no matter where you’re from. The open kitchen concept adds to the inviting charm of the restaurant.

Andrew Czarnecki, Managing Director of Resort Operations for St. Joe Club & Resorts adds, “This is a natural evolution of our already outstanding culinary program, and we are thrilled to introduce it to the 30A community.”



Fish Out of Water’s complete redesign emphasizes its sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico from every seat in the house, large parties or small.

For the first time, Fish Out of Water will have lunch service as well as an extensive happy hour with draft beers for $5, and wine and cocktails for $6. With a beach boardwalk right outside the outdoor patio and bar, WaterColor residents and guests can go from relaxing on the beach to enjoying a signature cocktail at the bar or a casual lunch overlooking the gulf in just minutes.

The seasonal, coastal menu is inventive and delicious for adults and kids. Must-try lunch appetizers include Duck Fat Fries with house spiced ketchup and Carolina Pimento Cheese Dip sprinkled with candied pepper bacon and Fish Out of Water’s unique bubble crackers served on the side. At lunch, guests can also choose from a selection of salads, sandwiches, buckets, and tacos.

Dinner options include Day Boat Line-Caught Grouper with field peas, kale, brown butter citrus sauce, green tomato, and corn chow-chow; and Santa Rosa Sweet Tea Fried Chicken with bourbon-cider glaze, pickled cucumbers, and onions.

For dessert try the absolutely delicious NOLA Beignets with banana pudding, torched plantain bites, brandied blackberry compote, and crumbled vanilla wafers.
