If you missed Grayton Bar & Grill‘s inaugural Sunday Brunch, you missed a stunning live performance by New Orleans’ Glen David Andrews Band. Andrews is a 6’4” baritone trombonist who hails from the Treme section of NOLA. (In fact, he’s played himself in HBO’s hit Treme series, which features some of Andrews’ original songs.) Andrews towers over his audience with his extraordinary voice and bigger-than-life presence. Accompanied by guitar, bass and drums, Andrews played everything from gospel to jazz to blues, with mindfulness to the cultural heritage from which his music came: The third row pew of a Baptist Church in New Orleans’ 6th Ward.
