It’s time to make plans to attend the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center’s (ECCAC) annual signature event, the Kieran May Memorial Golf and Gala Weekend, March 9 and 11.

The weekend kicks off with the Gala at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 9, at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. Guests will enjoy a black-tie (optional) evening including dinner, live and silent auctions, and a cork wine pull. The live auction will include coveted trips and wine. The popular golf tournament follows on Sunday, March 11, at Kelly Plantation in Destin. A hole-in-one contest will be sponsored by Sam Taylor for a chance to win a Cadillac.

The benefit weekend is in memory of Kieran May, who passed away in 2012.

Kieran was a major supporter of the Advocacy Center, in addition to chairing the golf tournament for three years, and serving on the Board for six years.

“We are honored that Kieran’s wife Caroline and her friends have stepped forward to continue his tradition in support of our kids,” said Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center Director of Development, Kim Henderson.

“This event provides funds not only to help ECCAC in their mission of helping and healing children who have suffered unimaginable forms of abuse, but will also help us educate children in the community on how they can protect themselves from abuse.”
