1. What makes living at the beach so special?

I’ve been a local for 23 years and counting, and it’s the gulf vistas and a fun, giving community which makes living at the beach special. The beauty and respite of the gulf calms me and gives me hope. The generosity of our community inspires me.

2. Three favorite local spots?

Destin Harbor – I enjoy taking in the fishing and boating scene, multiple water views and locally owned eateries.

Seaside – Even after all these years, I still enjoy the eclectic cosmopolitan vibe of this influential development.

Scenic 98 – I love walking and riding my bike from Crystal Beach to Pompano Joe’s or Whale’s Tale to nosh and enjoy the beach and people watching.

3. Best place for a night out?

A night out for me usually means a casual dinner and drinks. Local Catch, Stinky’s, Acme Oyster House, Cantina Laredo and Boshamps all make the list.

4. Most delicious menu item?

Pulled pork nachos at Local Catch rock my world. OMG.

5. What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I participate in cultural events, enjoy the outdoors, and try to be still in the moment.
