Shaping South Walton’s Future!
The Walton County Tourist Development Council (TDC) will hold its next public meeting on Tuesday, June 3, at 9 a.m. in the South Walton Courthouse Annex Boardroom, located at 31 Coastal Centre Blvd., Santa Rosa Beach.
Community members, business owners, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend or watch the livestream as the council discusses ongoing tourism efforts, future initiatives, and other items shaping the region’s visitor economy.
The Walton County TDC is all about keeping South Walton beautiful, vibrant, and top of mind for travelers. Their mission is to help more people discover (and fall in love with) this amazing stretch of coast we call home. From promoting the South Walton brand to taking care of our beaches, they work behind the scenes to grow tourism in a way that supports our local economy and protects the laid-back lifestyle we all enjoy. They’re also the folks tackling the bigger issues that affect both visitors and locals, making sure tourism continues to be a positive force for our community.
Meeting Agenda & Info can be accessed here.
Those interested can watch the meeting Live on YouTube here or here.
If you’re interested in the future of Walton County beyond tourism, make note of Tuesday, June 17, at 4 p.m., when the DPZ team will present their Comprehensive Plan recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. This is part of a larger effort to shape how our community grows. You can find updates and review the draft report on the Comp Plan page.
