Golfing for a Cause!
Golfing for a Cause!
Golf, giving back, and good company… what more could you ask for?
Registration is now open for Tom Glavine’s Field of Dreams Golf Outing, set for Monday, October 13, 2025, at the stunning Camp Creek Golf Course in Watersound, just north of Scenic Highway 30A. Hosted by MLB Hall of Famer Tom Glavine, this annual outing brings together community leaders, golf enthusiasts, and philanthropists for a day that’s about more than just birdies and bogeys.
This year’s tournament aims to raise $200,000 for the Seaside Foundation School, with proceeds supporting the growing Seacoast Collegiate High School and the Northwest Florida State College Dual Enrollment and Workforce Development Center in South Walton. Both new school buildings opened their doors this fall, marking a major milestone in expanding higher education access across Walton County.
“Golf has a way of connecting people,” Glavine said. “When you pair that with a cause like this, the impact goes far beyond the course.”
The day begins with check-in and breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by the program and national anthem at 8:30 a.m. and a 9 a.m. shotgun start. After play wraps, golfers can look forward to the 19th Hole Social Hour at 2 p.m., with the silent auction closing at 3:45 p.m., an awards ceremony at 4 p.m., and auction item pick-up at 4:15 p.m.

The outing is more than a round of golf. It’s a full-day experience featuring undulating fairways, gorgeous natural landscapes, and Camp Creek’s signature Audubon-certified setting. The silent auction includes exclusive sports memorabilia, travel packages, and local experiences, with online bidding available for those unable to attend in person.
All proceeds will directly benefit the SCHS Expansion Project, which includes three state-of-the-art facilities:
– The Accelerator, featuring a Great Hall, café, meeting spaces, and an e-sports lab, open to students, faculty, and the wider community.
– Seacoast Collegiate High School, now complete, offering a cutting-edge STEM lab, custom-designed science labs, a College and Career Center, and 15 new classrooms.
– The Dual Enrollment Center, South Walton’s first, built in partnership with Northwest Florida State College, creating space for 450+ students and eliminating the need for long commutes to Niceville.
– Thanks to generous donors, the high school and Dual Enrollment Center are already in use by students, while The Accelerator is part of Phase 2 construction.
Sponsorships and team slots are limited and expected to sell out fast. In addition to supporting local education, participants will have the chance to connect with regional business and civic leaders, often leading to new collaborations well beyond the 18th green.
