TOPS’L Beach & Racquet Resort in South Walton will host the $10,000 Annual United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Clay Court Championships on May 14-16, 2016.
“We’re thrilled to be hosting this annual event for the first time here at TOPS’L,” said Joe D’Aleo, director of tennis at TOPS’L Beach & Racquet Resort.
The Clay Court Championships is one of four tournaments that comprise the USPTA Surface Championship Series. In addition to Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Singles and Doubles matches, weekend events will include a professional development seminar, vendor showcase, and player luncheon.
Participation is limited to USPTA-certified professionals in good standing, but spectators are invited and the event is open to the public.

Players of the event could be invited to participate in the USPTA Masters Invitational, which takes place in September 2016.
A minimum of $10,000 in prize money will be awarded during the Clay Court Championships based upon the number of entries in each event.
TOPS’L Beach & Racquet Resort is situated on 52 private acres, bordered by both the Gulf of Mexico and a tranquil nature preserve. The resort boasts 12 clay tennis courts and plenty of USPTA-certified instructors to help hone your game.
TOPS’L has won numerous awards for its tennis facilities over the years, including ‘Best Tennis Facility’ by Destin Magazine and ‘Tennis Facility Grand Champion’ by the Perfect in South Walton Awards hosted by Visit South Walton.
