Phase One construction on the Town Center continues to progress on schedule at the new “55-and-better” Latitude Margaritaville Watersound community located near the Scenic Highway 30A corridor, and minutes from Panama City Beach.
The new Town Square features an amphitheater with a thatched roof bandshell, a full-size concert stage, a jumbo screen for concerts and movies, and a special recessed dance floor that provides a little give and spring for revelers.
Dining and refreshment choices will include a two-story Bar & Chill restaurant overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, Changes in Attitude Bar, and Overlook Bar. The state-of-the-art Fins Up! Fitness Center will include an indoor pool and spa. In addition, there will be a lagoon-style Paradise Pool with beach-like entry and a Tiki Island.
“The walls and trusses are up on the Town Center buildings, and roofs are going on,” said Brian Cale, Minto’s Latitude Margaritaville division Vice President of Land Development.
“At this stage, you really start to feel the scale of the Town Center. We are working on the second floor of the Bar & Chill, and the views of the Intracoastal from there are breathtaking.”
Construction has also started on the Barkaritaville dog park. “The creek on property runs between Barkaritaville dog park and the Latitude Town Center,” said Cale. “Work is underway on a pathway and bridge that spans the creek to create a continuous connection from the residential section at Island Breeze Avenue to the Town Center.”
After Phase One Town Center amenities open, residents will have a variety of activities and entertainment to enjoy including live music, dancing and movie nights in the Town Square, virtual trainers and wellness programs, lap time at the indoor pool and spa and sunning at the lagoon-style Paradise Pool. More live music, Margaritaville-inspired menu selections and beverage concoctions will keep the party going at the Latitude Bar & Chill restaurant and Changes in Attitude Bar. Residents also will be able to enjoy tennis and pickleball on the new sports courts.
Latitude Margaritaville Watersound features 13 fully-furnished model homes open daily for tours. The island-inspired collections include Conch Cottages, Caribbean Villas, Beach and Island single-family homes. Prices start in the high $200s. The first wave of homeowners has moved in and more homes are on the way as construction continues.
