Gulf Place brings the holiday spirit to 30A with new additions to its growing list of merchants, cheerful seasonal décor and holiday events, as well as plans to help the less fortunate.
The monthly Third Thursday Wine Walkabout, presented by the Merchants at Gulf Place, will be held on December 19th from 5:00pm- 7:00pm.
For $15, attendees can enjoy samplings of hand-selected sparkling wines in honor of the holiday season, light appetizers, live music and giveaways while venturing to all of the different Gulf Place shops.
Featuring jewelry, artwork, clothing and many other unique gifts, event-goers can enjoy the event while taking care of their holiday shopping lists. To wrap up the Holiday Third Thursday Wine Walkabout, La Playa at Gulf place will feature local favorite Forrest Williams Band for a festive after-party beginning at 7 pm.

The festive season also coincides with the opening of two new merchants – Pizza by the Sea’s second location and Meyer Boarding Company.
Located across from the Gulf of Mexico and above the Gulf Place amphitheater, owners Jason and Kristi Beer couldn’t have picked a better location for the family-friendly pizza joint. The creative hand painted pizza pans used as artwork, bright lighting and seating for 75 make this a unique experience.
This year, the restaurant will be participating as a drop-off location for Food for Thought. The non-perishable items are used to stuff backpacks that are distributed at local schools to help feed local children that may not have meals over the weekend. Resort Quest by Wyndham’s office at Gulf Place will be accepting toys for less fortunate children in the community from now through the end of December for Toys for Tots.
Mike Meyer, founder of Meyer Boarding Company, started his now full-fledged 5,000 sq. ft. manufacturing operation, distributing boards worldwide simply as a dream building skimboards in his garage. Today, Meyer Boarding Company handcrafts skateboards, land paddle boards, land paddles, skimboards, and custom shaped surf boards and paddle boards.
