Walton County‘s abundant foliage and flowering plants have inspired many artists of every persuasion, many of whom belong to the Walton County Art League.
Throughout the month of January, the Coastal Branch Library will feature works by members of the Walton County Art League, including Debbie Baker, Pat Black, Charlie Day, Nancy Drake, Louise Griffith, Sue Grimes, Jan Hannon, Charles Hinson, Lola Houchins, Barb Kellogg, Suzanne Leloup-West, Helga C. Letourneau, Eloise Elaine Schneider, Kristinia Perry, Ann Tucker and Jacqueline Wagoner.
The league will also participate in the Book and Blooms event that is scheduled for January 25th from 9:30am to 2:30pm at the Coastal Branch Library.
The Books and Blooms show will be held in conjunction with the Master Gardener’s Club and, in keeping with the theme, will present works in landscapes and florals to compliment the arrangements presented by the Master Gardeners.
The Books and Blooms event will be hosted by the Friends of the Walton Coastal Library and the Green Thumb Garden Club of Walton County. The event will include a silent auction, raffles, a mini book sale, gift shop and floral design demonstrations by Marie Harrison.
