THIS WEEKEND: ArtsQuest To Delight Visitors at Grand Boulevard

This year’s ArtsQuest, the fine arts festival produced by the Cultural Arts Alliance, will have a traveling circus theme, inspired by featured artist Amanda Bennett.

In addition to the nearly 200 exhibiting national and local artists, jugglers, stilt walkers and other circus characters will wander through the festival, delighting visitors of all ages.

ArtsQuest

The festival will be held May 8-10, 2015 at Grand Boulevard. It includes a public arts display featuring work by Justin Lyons, Sara Lierly and South Walton’s Artist of the Year Juan Francisco Adaro; live music all day long on the main stage; and two nightly concerts featuring Boukou Groove and the Sluetown Strutters.

30A Dancewave, the Emerald Coast Theatre Company, The REP, 30A Ballet and the Ohana Institute will all perform in ArtsQuest’s “ImagiNation (where kids rule),” which also will feature arts activities and a student art exhibit.

ArtsQuest also will be the setting for the exhibition of the inaugural Full Plate Project, CAA’s community-wide art project and joint fundraiser with Food for Thought Outreach. Plates painted by children and adults in the community will be sold with proceeds funding arts in education and food for children in need.
