Maestro David Ott
Maestro David Ott will make a special appearance at Marie’s Bistro on Tuesday, November 4, starting at 6 p.m., for a night of classical music.
“I love music and performers that have passion and I have been very fortunate to watch the maestro many times,” said Hanie Nasri, the restaurant’s owner. “He has become one of my favorites over the past 18 years. It should be an awesome treat.”
Ott, who lives in Destin, is an internationally recognized composer and conductor whose works have been performed and recorded by some of the most notable orchestras in the United States and Europe. In 2003, he was awarded the prestigious Music Alive Award, co-sponsored by the American Symphony Orchestra League and Meet the Composer.
Though Ott’s is the first classical event at the bistro, Nasri is interested in continuing the series. “We have a place that can offer a unique setting for a variety of events on a smaller, intimate scale,” Nasri said. “We hope to continue with a great series of classical journeys.”
Table reservations are recommended and can be made by calling Marie’s at 850-278-6856.
