1. What makes living at the beach so special?

Beach life is the best life! The people are so sweet and laid back. The food is ah-mazing. There is always something to do here and the scenery is breathtaking.

2. Three favorite local spots?

Tops’l Beach & Racquet Resort – Our family became members last year and love it. We enjoy having both pool and beach access there, and everyone is super friendly.  

Hurricane Oyster Bar & Grill – Laid back family atmosphere and the food is great.  We love taking out of town guests here, and they always say what a great time they have there!  

The Hub – This is such a great place with or without children. We love taking the family here. The kids can run around and play and we can enjoy our food. 

3. Best place for a night out?

723 Whiskey Bravo has become one of our favorite date night spots. Super friendly staff.  Excellent food and the rooftop patio is beautiful! Great place to catch a sunset with a nice glass of wine or cocktail and excellent dinner. 

4. Most delicious menu item?

Pepitos by far is our favorite place to eat. Their shrimp fajitas are our #1 go-to. Great Southern is another absolute favorite. You have to go at lunchtime and get the “Grits à ya ya.” Best thing on the menu. My mouth is watering just typing this!  

5. What do you do in your free time?

My husband and I have two young children, and I run a couple of businesses from home. Any free time we have is spent doing anything outdoors and at the beach. After all, this scenery and beach life is what we moved here for. I love to exercise, read and spend as much time with my beautiful family as I can. 

Bonus: How long have you been a local?

I moved here in April of 2018, so pretty new local here. My husband and I have traveled here for 5 years, and we decided to finally live out our dreams and not wait until we retire. I have always known our children would grow up living the beach life. Best decision we ever made was moving to our little paradise.
