Releasing an album on vinyl has always been a dream for Alvarado, and he was able to achieve it with the help of his fans through a project on Kickstarter.com. His first album, Chris Alvarado, was released in 2012 and can be found on ITunes, Pandora Radio, and other online retailers.
Alvarado routinely shares the stage with GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter, Suzi Ragsdale, and he recently toured with former Vanguard Records artist Daphne Willis.
In 2012, his song “Find My Way” won 3rd place in the Dallas Songwriters Association’s songwriting competition, and in 2011, he won the prestigious Best Singer/Songwriter Award in the 3rd annual Beachcomber Music Awards. He was nominated again for the same award in 2012, along with Best Male Vocalist. This year, Alvarado’s won the 2013 Beachcomber award for Best Solo Artist.
