Special Olympics Florida Athletes to Compete in SUP Tournament at Baytowne

146-1Special Olympics Florida – Walton County is organizing a Stand Up Paddle (SUP) tournament on Saturday, August 16th at Baytowne Wharf. In addition to local paddlers, athletes from as far as Jacksonville will participate in the tournament.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

9:00am – 11:30am: Levels 2, 3 & 4 on the water
11:30am – 12:30pm: Lunch
1:00pm – 2:30pm: Levels Prone, 1 & 2

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children eight years of age and older with intellectual disability. The goal is to give them opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship other Special Olympics athletes.
