We recently sat down with 30A’s Erica Wilson to learn a few of her favorite local hangouts, guilty pleasures and when she likes to head out to the beach.
1. Where do you go when you need quality me-time?
When I need me-time, I head to the beach. I love to go early in the morning when no one is out yet and I can sit undisturbed and take it all in. Hands down my favorite perk of living here.
2. What is your favorite dessert on 30A?
The dark chocolate fondue from La Crema in Rosemary Beach. They serve it with dipping apples, bananas, strawberries, pound cake, and marshmallows. It’s perfect for sharing!
3. What’s your favorite way to stay fit on 30A?
There are so many ways to stay fit on 30A, but I enjoy going to SofitCo for Laura Bailey’s yoga class. It’s upbeat, always different, and you never fail to break a sweat.
4. What’s your favorite way to spend time outdoors?
I love hopping on my bike and cruising down 30A. You really get to take everything in; the scenery, the salty air, and there are tons of bike racks along the way if you want to stop for food, drinks, or a dip in the gulf.
[30A Pro Tip: Go farther and faster on a 30A Electric Bike! Take one for a test spin at the YOLO Store in Gulf Place.]
5. Three favorite local spots?
Black Bear Bread Co.: It’s a running joke with my friends and I because we meet up here at least twice a week. The food is amazing, and it’s hard to stay away.
Raw and Juicy: I’m obsessed with their kale salad, but everything on the menu is great and it’s my top pick of places to take / meet people because it’s such an aesthetically pleasing environment.
Tribe Kelly Surf Post: Definitely one of the coolest spots on 30A. They have unique apparel for men and women, and they often host events in the back lounge area.
