As a local for the past 30 years, I can tell you that living on 30A is nothing but good vibes and awesome people. I love our local music scene, food is on point and the beaches are absolutely beautiful. I’ve been surfing my whole life, and people don’t realize that we actually get some pretty good waves, too.
I’m so in love with watching sunsets at Deer Lake and the boardwalk view is breathtaking with all the dunes.
Grayton Beach is super fun to explore! You’ve got paddle boarding through the dune lakes, a good surf break, local volleyball team, pompano are always biting, and the stars seem to shine extremely bright there at night.
The Hub is a really cool spot for family shenanigans! Lots of cool shops, awesome restaurants, and the live music is always groovy.
Oh, man, definitely AJ’s Grayton! The late night music scene is super fun. Our band, The Shakedown, performs once a month and people are always having such a good time and dancing their booties off!
Local Catch has a Nawlins style “Shrimp Po Boy” that will make ya wanna slap ya, mammy!
I’m always adventuring around in all the state parks, surfing or playing music. I just love being out in the sun on 30A. It’s the place to be on the Gulf Coast.
