A vibrant slate of events unfolds along the Emerald Coast from Tuesday, June 3 through Sunday, June 8, featuring everything from rooftop taco nights with fireworks and expert-led social media workshops to family-friendly reading kickoffs, guided nature hikes, and immersive live music performances. Highlights include tribute concerts, blues at the brewpub, a biscuit-eating contest, a murder mystery wine dinner, and soulful sunsets with the Sundown Strays.

1. Booming Tuesdays on the Ara Rooftop

Guests gather from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a laid-back taco bar, then enjoy $5 Tito’s and $7 margaritas from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., all with front-row views of the weekly fireworks over Miramar Beach.

2. Cracking the Social Code with Matthew Kan

Attendees gather on Wednesday, June 4, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort to learn from Luxury Listings’ Co-Founder and CMO as he reveals content strategies, platform-specific tactics, and algorithm insights that turn engaged followers into loyal clients. 3. Bayou Beats with Boukou Groove

On Wednesday, June 4, at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., music lovers gather at SOWAL House for an electrifying evening of New Orleans–style soul and funk led by Grammy Winner Derwin “Big D” Perkins and Grammy-nominated Donnie Sundal, backed by a rotating ensemble that never misses a beat. 4. Summer Reading Carnival Kickoff

Families gather on Thursday, June 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Coastal Branch Library to pick up summer reading and writing challenge materials and learn about the Thursday morning lineup kicking off June 12 with a carnival, followed by Lindsey the Beekeeper on June 26, Comedic Juggling on July 10, Pittman Magic on July 17, the Wow Factor Science Show on July 24, and an end-of-summer Color Your World Celebration on July 31.

5. Camp Helen Panhandle Trail Trek

Participants meet on Thursday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Camp Helen State Park as park rangers lead a moderate hike along the Oak Canopy and North Trails, sharing insights on local plants, wildlife, and the unique Florida Panhandle ecosystem. Appropriate for all experience levels, hikers are encouraged to wear comfortable attire and bring water, sunscreen, and bug repellent.

6. Margaritaville Escape with A1A

On Thursday, June 5, doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show begins at 7:00 p.m. as the official Jimmy Buffett tribute band transforms Destin’s Dugas Pavilion into a tropical haven—guests can bring blankets or chairs and savor dinner from local restaurants and food trucks. Tickets are $35 in advance (plus a $5 ticketing fee), with a $5 discount at the door, and all proceeds benefit MKAF’s ArtsReach community education initiative.

7. Seagrove Serenade with Jay Lilies

8. Blued & Brews: Soulful Strings and Craft Pours

On Friday, June 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Blues Musicians Society brings a lineup of seasoned blues artists to Grayton Beer Brewpub, pairing gritty guitar licks and soulful vocals with locally brewed craft beers. Guests can unwind in a laid-back atmosphere as live rhythms mingle with hoppy aromas.

At 5:00 p.m., competitive eaters vie in the annual biscuit-eating contest for a year of free Scratch, exclusive swag, and major bragging rights.

10. Murder, Merlot, and Mystery

On Saturday, June 7, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., guests at Burnt Pine Country Club indulge in a lavender champagne toast before savoring a multi-course menu perfectly paired with Frog’s Leap wines, all while unraveling a thrilling live murder mystery. Each dish—from scallops on a rice paper flower to lamb lollipops and chocolate-dipped strawberries—reflects Frog’s Leap’s sustainable Napa Valley heritage, making for an evening of suspense and exceptional cuisine.
