This week along 30A, the community is bustling with an exciting blend of events to celebrate the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. From the anticipation of the 12th anniversary of the 30A 10K Thanksgiving Day races to various festive gatherings, including brunch with Santa and the magical ‘Turn On The Town’ holiday celebration, there’s a vibrant spirit in the air.
The 12th anniversary of the 30A 10K Thanksgiving Day races is set for November 23, 2023, promising the largest and most exciting event yet with a 10K, 5K, and 1-mile race. Participants can enjoy in-person festivities, special surprises, and a celebratory atmosphere. Parking is available at The Big Chill and along 30A, but is limited, so carpooling is advised. Peak parking hours to avoid are between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be no race day registration or packet pickup; all packets must be collected on the preceding Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Big Chill.

The 10K race will commence at 7:30 a.m.
The 1-mile fun run will follow at 7:35 a.m.
The 5K race is set to start at 9:30 a.m.

Returning for its 13th year, The REP Theatre’s beloved production, “Every Christmas Story Ever Told,” brings a whirlwind of holiday classics to life with humor and high energy. This show, a crowd favorite, features three REP actors who cleverly parody a range of holiday stories, from Charles Dickens to Dr. Seuss and even Chewbacca, using an array of props and costumes. These performances are free and open to the public, allowing families to enjoy this wild and festive experience as part of their holiday tradition.
