Halloween is a favorite holiday in South Walton and although a lot of events stand canceled due to the pandemic (BOO!!) this year, there are still plenty of events — from family-friendly festivals to crazy, adults-only costume parties — you can choose from.

Friday, October 30
7 a.m.: Witches of South Walton Ride
The Witches of South Walton is an organization dedicated to supporting the Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) as part of that mission will host the 17th Annual Witch Ride with changes in place for 2020. On October 30, Founders Ride commences at 7 am, and post-ride gathering at Shunk Gulley. there’s also a Sunset Ride at 5:30 pm. Click here for details.
5 pm – 9 pm: Hub-O-ween, Trick O’ Treatin’ & More at The Hub
Join in for a lot of Halloween fun at The Hub: Trick or Treating will begin at 5 p.m. while Pumpkin Decorating ($5/person) will go on from 5-7 p.m. After that, the place will turn into a big Dance Party with DJ Whitty playing cool tunes. For more info, click here.
Come and be a part of the Halloween Scare & Costume Party with DJ 30A. Don your scariest costume and you could win cash and prizes. DRINK DANCE & BE SCARY!

10:30 a.m.: Witches of South Walton Ride

Calling all boos & ghouls to join the fun at this family-friendly Halloween festival! Activities include: Bag decorating, Pumpkin Painting, Witches’ Hat Ring Toss, Candy Cornhole, Trick or Treating (4 p.m. – 5 p.m.), & MORE!
It’s te to do the Time Warp Again! Watch a spooky movie at 8 pm. on the big screen and all the TVs. Prizes for best Rocky Horror costumes and all other costumes. Plus there’s live music, dinner specials and more.
The public is invited to the Village of Baytowne Wharf for a fun night of trick or treating! Attendants will stroll through the Village streets in their spookiest costume and visit merchants for treats. Steve Hall will play music on the main stage, and Coconut Kidz will be offering a free face painting and entry into a costume contest. The night will end with a firework display at 8 p.m.
